Janelle Martinez-Cruz is a Cuban artist + designer based in Atlanta, Georgia.

B I O :

Janelle Martinez-Cruz, a Cuban-Puertorican artist,(b. 2001) creates contemporary, mixed-media paintings inspired by her love for nature, sunshine, and authentic Latin background.

Janelle holds a degree in Graphic Design + Fine Art with minors in marketing and business administration. After graduating, she worked as a graphic designer, stationery expert, and calligrapher. However, her primary love was always fine art.

In 2015, she had her first art gallery show. Recognizing her passion for art, she never stopped painting and creating art. In 2021 she received an invitation to be represented by another gallery.

Since then, she has participated in group exhibitions, independently sold work to private collectors worldwide, and partnered with local businesses to expand her audience by hosting workshops and live painting events.

S T A T E M E N T :

While my artwork ranges in subject matter, I’m inspired by the core memories made with my (big Latin) family, nature, and the ocean breeze when I visit my hometown. While I pursued my degree, I learned to appreciate all forms of art and learned to tell visual stories. I strive to share positivity, joy, and stories through my art. When I’m not in the studio, you can find me on a horse, kayaking, admiring gardens, and spending time with family.
